S7GenericTarget

Enum S7GenericTarget

    Local(String),

Expand description

Where an S7 instance method’s generic comes from.

Variants§

§

BaseOperator(String)

A base R operator ([, [[, $, the Ops group, %*%). It always exists, so the method attaches to it directly: the package neither defines, exports nor documents the generic.

§

External

s7(generic = "pkg::name"): another package’s generic. It is bound as S7::new_external_generic() under its bare name, which S7 resolves whether or not pkg is loaded (registration waits for its onLoad).

Fields

§package: String
§name: String
§

Local(String)

The package’s own generic (r_name, the Rust name, or an unqualified s7(generic = ...)). Reused when a usable generic already exists, otherwise defined here; exported with a standalone doc page.

Implementations§

Source§

impl S7GenericTarget

Source

pub(crate) fn name(&self) -> &str

The generic’s bare R name (no pkg:: prefix).

default fn lower_bound(&self) -> usize

🔬This is a nightly-only experimental API. (core_io_internals)
Returns a lower bound on the number of elements this container-like item contains. For example, an array [u8; 12] could return any value between 0 and 12 inclusively as a correct implementation. Read more

default fn upper_bound(&self) -> Option<usize>

🔬This is a nightly-only experimental API. (core_io_internals)
Returns an upper bound on the number of elements this container-like item contains if it can be determined, otherwise None. Read more

Layout§

Note: Most layout information is completely unstable and may even differ between compilations. The only exception is types with certain repr(...) attributes. Please see the Rust Reference's “Type Layout” chapter for details on type layout guarantees.
