$.Class, [[.Class, names.Class, as.list.Class and .DollarNames.Class, and with setters $<-.Class / [[<-.Class, for an S3 class with s3(r_data_accessors).

The receiver is the classed pointer the constructor (or the package’s own R code) returns, on which the reads look the fields up as a list’s do, or a list or environment carrying the pointer in .ptr (#1469), whose own elements a name that is not a field reaches through NextMethod().
