clear_moved_out

Function clear_moved_out

Source
unsafe fn clear_moved_out(sexp: SEXP)
Expand description

Empties the pointer a value was moved out of (into_raw / into_inner): the address, so the finalizer is a no-op, and the tag and protection list too, so the pointer reads as empty (the plain null external pointer messages) rather than as one restored from a saved session, which keeps its prot (#1872). R_ClearExternalPtr only nulls the address.

§Safety

Must be called from R’s main thread with a valid EXTPTRSXP.
